Hexagonal Table in Walnut

The table base was originally designed to support a 1 inch thick polished Broughton Moor green stone top; however when tests showed that the polished stone would be easily marked by light impact, it was decided to use a solid English Walnut top - the boards for which were sawn to include part of the root hole - giving the distinctive figuring.
