The curved doors and drawers in this study were designed to reflect the art deco influence apparent in other parts of this country house. The shelving over the main desk is suspended from the ceiling by 1/4 inch steel rods through the centre of the 3/4 inch turned oak spindles.

The chesterfield sofa has oak show-wood on a fully jointed beech frame, as does the chair which features tilt and swivel with height adjustment. Both are deep-button double upholstered in blue hide over calico.

The book-matched burr oak veneer on the door panels was made in our own workshops, as were the brass and ebony drop handles.
