lecturn
The lecturns were intended to match the existing work in the church choristry, but also to be easily moved. The design was thus based on a light structure, given the appearance of substance by the use of edge cappings. The pierced gothic tracery and relief panels were based on the existing woodwork, and the edge moulding, profiles and cappings were rescaled from existing timber and stone mouldings in the building. The commission was executed in heart of native oak, sawn, seasoned and kiln-dried at Wes Waring's own workshops.
